Telecom industry has been one of the key foundations on which the current digital era is based upon. However, the industry is experiencing a significant disruption due to multiple challenges such as capital challenges, emergence of newer competition and vertical/ horizontal integration within customer value chain. Apart from this turning the hype around 5G into reality, exploring opportunities arising from emerging technologies while managing high cost of procuring spectrum and increased capex for fiber build only serve to exacerbate the disruption. 

To survive this onslaught telecom players need to work with ecosystem providers which will enable embrace new technologies, promote agility and flexibility across their operations and services and develop niche offerings which offers differentiated customer experience while maintaining a reliable and robust network.
