Connected vehicles rely heavily on telematics systems to process, analyze, and transmit vast amounts of data. From location tracking and diagnostics to over-the-air (OTA) software updates, telematics solutions constitute the backbone of the global connected vehicle ecosystems.
However, as the number of connected vehicles grows, traditional telematics architecture faces challenges in terms of scalability and security. We present a scalable cloud-based telematics solution, integrated with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Experience of working with global automotive clients indicates that by combining cloud technology for elasticity with PKI for secure communication, the resultant platform can ensure scalability while maintaining stringent data security across use case scenarios.
