Industry 4.0: Transition to ZTA using LTTS IoT Security Framework
Discussions about security and cyber threats in the adoption of Industry 4.0 have focused primarily on the challenges around the convergence of Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology(IT). Without doubt this convergence and its implications are a major part of the decision-making process as manufacturers contemplate their digital transformation journey. However, considering the importance of connected systems in the manufacturing industry, it is imperative that the System Integrators (SI) move to a Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) as they transition to Industry 4.0. This is necessary not only for their systems on the production floor; it is necessary as well for their systems that involve peripheral devices and services, such as IoT/IIoT, CPS and cloud computing.
The LTTS IoT Security Framework enables manufacturers and plant administrators to transition easily to a more modern ZTA, retrofitting security to existing infrastructure or implementing mature and modern cybersecurity in new ones.
